ALF PENN - DIRECTOR

Alf completed a formal film laboratory training scheme at Reeds Film laboratories from 1964 to 1967. He then went on to work as a specialist printer/grader at Kay laboratories. In 1971 he joined ITN Library and worked in the sales team eventually becoming a library supervisor. In 1984 he joined Thames TV to work on many prestigious documentary series before becoming a freelance archive consultant in 1991 when Thames TV lost their franchise.

In 1997 Alf teamed up with David Yeo to offer specialised transfer services to the archive world by forming their new company TK one Ltd. Where they felt they could bridge a gap in the market place by offering archives and their users a dedicated service.

DAVID YEO - DIRECTOR

David began his career at Visnews news film library in 1970. Then in 1975 he joined the film laboratory technical team, to offer specialised archive film services to his clients. In 1984 he joined Soho Film Laboratories offering laboratory and telecine services to their wide client base. Later in 1991 he joined the management team of the newly established Machine Room and trained many of their staff in the needs and disciplines of archive preservation work as well as the day to day offerings of rushes and feature film mastering. In 1997 he joined Alf to create a telecine facility company designed to concentrate and specialise in the archive market where they have built up a following of clients including major archives and small independent production companies.

Tom started with TVam in 1982 as Lead Editor and Shift Supervisor for Breakfast TV, with regular foreign assignments. In 1987 Tom moved to the managerial side of our business. His experience includes running M2 Ltd. post house and managing departments at Ascent Media and The Mews. Tom joined TK one in 2010 as a Technical Consultant. He has advised and Project Managed the technical install of our HD and 2K film scanning and encoding equipment. Tom supervised the build and equipment move to new Kings Cross premises. He has also helped plan the business re-launch of TK one's specialist Mass Digitisation and restoration services for film and legacy Video tape.
